Not sure who you need? Start with the consultation — it's free, there's no obligation, and we'll help you find the right therapist.

Who online therapy works well for

Online sessions suit people who live outside our catchment, who travel for work, who are managing childcare or accessibility needs, or who simply find it easier to speak openly from their own space. For a great many people it is not second best — it is the format that makes therapy possible at all.

It is not right for everyone. If you are in crisis, or if what you are working through needs in-person support, we will say so in the consultation and help you find the right option — including one of our five offices in Toronto and Port Hope.

How it works

  • A free 15-minute consultation first. We talk about what you are looking for, and match you with a therapist — before you book anything.
  • Sessions by secure video. You get a private link. No app to install, and nothing recorded.
  • Anywhere in Ontario. Our psychotherapists are registered in Ontario and can see anyone located in the province.
  • The same approaches as in person. EMDR, IFS, EFT, CBT, ACT and DBT all work over video.

What you need

A private space where you will not be overheard, a reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera. Headphones help. Many people take their session from home, some from a parked car on a lunch break — whatever gives you the hour.

Good to know

Every Healing Space clinician is qualified, experienced, and trauma-informed, and all offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can find the right fit before you commit to anything.

Prefer to come in?

We have five offices across Toronto and Port Hope. Every one of them offers the same trauma-informed care — and online sessions too, so you can switch between them without changing therapist.
