About Megan
Megan is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), with graduate training from Columbia University, including a Master of Education in Mental Health Counselling and a Master of Arts in Psychological Counselling. She brings experience in community mental health in New York City and a cross-cultural lens shaped by her own lived experience, working alongside people navigating complex trauma and addiction, often adults with immigrant experiences and members of the BIPOC community. Megan creates a space where clients do not have to translate or minimize their experiences to be understood - you can come as you are. Her first goal is always to get to know you and create a sense of safety: listening, helping you feel heard, and meeting you with compassion before beginning the work of healing. She integrates modalities to fit each client, drawing on AEDP, IFS, DBT, CBT, and psychodynamic approaches, with trauma-focused therapy central to all of her work to create room for empathy, choice, and lasting change. Megan offers a warm, gentle, and nonjudgmental approach to those carrying challenges they've held quietly for a long time, grounded in trauma-informed, collaborative care.
